Orthopedic Massage

60 minutes: $105.00
90 minutes: $160.00

Orthopedic massage is a style of massage therapy focused on treating painful conditions that affect the soft tissues of the body. Because orthopedic massage is designed to treat medical conditions, it requires extensive training. It involves releasing tense muscles, helping to stretch and lengthen tight muscles and tendons, and decompress rigid joints. My goal is to restore full health to the soft tissues of your body, both treating your specific conditions as well as improving your overall well-being.

I use a multi modality approach in an orthopedic massage session, some of the modalities that I may use in our session are:

  • It starts with an assessment, client history, observation, palpation, range of motion, special orthopedic tests
  • Foundational modalities that may be included in the session are Swedish, Deep Tissue, or Shiatsu techniques
  • Myofascial Therapies
  • Neuromuscular Therapy including trigger point therapy
  • Percussion / Vibration
  • I.A.S.T.M - instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation with Rock blades and other tools including myofascial compression and shearing with elastic band, myofascial decompression and shearing with cups
  • PNF stretching techniques
  • Joint mobility techniques
  • Corrective exercise
